SDCC 2018: HERE IS A LOOK AT THE REST OF THE YU-GI-OH! TCG RELEASES FOR 2018
We’ve seen the evolution of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as it kept introducing new styles of summoning and monsters which include Fusions, Ritual, Synchro, XYZ, Pendulum and now Link Summons.
It might be overwhelming to many to keep up with all the changes in rulings but the best thing about the game is you don’t have to be competitive to enjoy the game with friends or at locals shops. A few years ago, I would try compete competitively by playing in tournaments as much as I could while buying boxes in order to get the necessary cards to complete a deck that I felt could win with. While I haven’t focused much on the game in the last year or so one thing hasn’t changed, I still am quite fond of the art and designs of the cards and while I only have a few decks I play for fun now here and pick up a few of the more recent releases including the Mega Tin that releases every year.
Why? Easy, there are always a few cards I feel that could make my decks even better. One of my favorite decks of all times are Heroes first introduced in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and it’s a deck I’ve always had a lot of fun playing the way I enjoy it. It’s a deck that a few years ago received new support and thanks to the inclusion of other cards, it has gotten only more fun to run. I also run a dragon deck, a synchro focused deck and a few others so it never hurts to pick up a few new packs and see what I can do.
At San Diego Comic-Con we stopped by the Konami booth and decided to check out what we can expect from the rest of the year. Luckily for me we learned that this years Mega Tins will focus on Jaden (Judai) Yuki and Yusei Fudo so we will see a few new support cards for heroes and Synchros which for me is always a plus.
