Taipei, Aug. 6 (CNA) Wang Chia-ching (汪家慶) of Taiwan was crowned champion of the main event Sunday at the 2018 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship in Japan.

The card game competition, which features the popular Japanese manga series Yu-Gi-Oh!, attracted contestants from around the world, including Wang's competitor in the final Australian Bohdan Temnyk.

With that victory, Wang became the second Taiwanese to win the Japanese manga game competition since 2013, when Huang Hsin-en (黃新恩) took the title.

The two-day 2018 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship in Chiba City comprised the TCG Main Event, Dragon Duel and the mobile game Duel Links, according to the contest's official website.
