Yu-Gi-Oh!: The 10 Best Warrior Decks
Warrior decks make some of the greatest card compilations in the Yu-Gi-Oh! game, and here is a look at the best ones.
The Warrior Type is one of the strongest Types in all of Yu-Gi-Oh! They are one of the most combo-heavy Types in the game, with many of their support cards requiring some sort of limitation on the banlist. With cards like Reinforcement of the Army and Isolde, Two Tales Of The Noble Knights, it's no surprise Warrior decks are some of the best in Yu-Gi-Oh!
Ever since the earliest days of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Warrior has stood as some of the most well-rounded cards in the game. They have powerful effects that complement their playstyles, allowing for some of the best decks in Yu-Gi-Oh!
10. Ninja
While Ninja have some Machine Monsters in their Archetype, they primarily consist of Warrior Type Monsters. Ninjas excel at tagging out into other Monsters, allowing them to easily swap around Monsters to better fit the current gamestate.
The deck comes with a great searcher in Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo, who has the ability to search out the entire Archetype, be it a Ninja Monster or one of their Ninjitsu Art cards. Their Link Monster Ninja Grandmaster Saizo can even search out their Ninjitsu cards right from the deck and set them onto the field to give the deck even more consistency.
9. Amazoness
Amazoness isn't nearly as dominant in the TCG as they were in Duel Links but are still a competent Archetype capable of winning games. Amazoness is a Battle Phase focused deck, with plenty of Monsters and backrow that can help take care of the opponent's Monsters permanently through the Battle Phase.
Amazoness has great recovery and searchability thanks to their support cards and can stick around on the field for quite some time thanks to the very same. While Amazoness can struggle to flood the field, they are more than capable of staying there once they hit it.
8. U.A.
U.A. was a strong meta deck in the early days of Duel Links and is still capable of holding its own in the TCG. All of the U.A. Monsters can Special Summon themselves by returning another U.A. Monster from the field back to the hand. This allows you to tag into any U.A. Monster you may need for a specific situation, giving some much-needed versatility.
U.A. Monsters can interrupt the opponent's turn by banishing their Monsters or negating their effects with cards like U.A. Blockbacker. They have some field flooding capability with U.A. Hyper Stadium as well, allowing them extra Normal Summons.
7. Elementsaber
A common theme of Warrior Type decks is that they were good in both the TCG and Duel Links, with Elementsaber being another deck like that. All Elementsabers have an effect that allows them to become any Attribute while in the Graveyard. There is one Elementsaber for each Attribute, and all have effects that trigger by sending an Elementsaber from the hand to the Graveyard.
Their Field Spell, Palace of the Elemental Lords allow them to send Elementsaber cards from the deck to use effects that require discards. The Elementsaber deck functions as both a solid control deck, and an engine for other decks to use.
6. Gouki
The biggest star of the start of the Link Era, Gouki is still a fantastic deck in the Yu-Gi-Oh! metagame. The cards were designed with Link Summoning in mind, allowing them to make all sorts of Link Climbing plays to go into their Boss Monsters, and even set up Extra Links to shut out the opponent's Extra Monster Zone.
Gouki has a lot of consistency and ability to flood the field, both thanks to their own cards and generic Warrior support. All of the Gouki Link Monsters come with fantastic effects that can either protect your own board, or work towards destroying your opponents.
5. Tellarknight
Tellarknights consist of both Tellarknight and Statellarknight Monsters and were one of the stars of the Xyz era and Duelist Alliance format. In fact, Tellarknight's main Boss Monster was so good it is currently banned from play. Even without it, Tellarknights have a lot of consistency thanks to their ability to trigger effects off of any kind of summon.
Tellarknights can easily Special Summon themselves from both the deck and the Graveyard, allowing them to trigger multiple effects per turn to flood the field to then go into great Xyz Monsters.
4. Six Samurai
Six Samurai is one of the few decks with the honor of being Tier One in both Duel Links and the TCG at one point. Six Samurai is such a good deck thanks to Gateway Of The Six and its lack of once per turn effects, allowing you to rapidly flood the field with Monsters.
Six Samurai can set up a ton of negates, all while never locking you into Six Samurai Monsters. This allows the deck to play all sorts of powerful Synchro, Xyz, and Link Monsters that they have no trouble with going into.
3. Phantom Knights
Phantom Knights are a deck that works both as an engine and by its own. Its Link Monster, The Phantom Knights of Rusty Bardiche was so good it was banned at a point, but has since returned to the game. Phantom Knights can easily lock out the opponent from using effects from their powerful Trap cards.
Phantom Knights all compliment each other, easily being able to dump themselves into the Graveyard to use their powerful effects that trigger from banishing themselves from the Graveyard. The deck is incredibly consistent, with a fantastic Boss Monster to control the gamestate.
2. HERO
HERO has been around since the start of the GX era and has no shortage of support cards. With such a large card pool, it's no surprise HERO decks are one of the best Warrior decks in Yu-Gi-Oh! Modern HERO decks play every flavor of HERO, from Destiny to Elemental.
The deck is a solid combo deck, with a ton of consistency that can easily flood the field and destroy the opponent's side for easy one-turn kills. What they lack in protection they more than make up for in versatility, being able to control the field with Floodgates like Masked HERO Dark Law or destroy it with Evil HERO Malicious Bane.
1. Infernoble Knight
While Noble Knights have been around for ages, the release of the Infernoble Knight would shoot them up to being the best Warrior Type deck in Yu-Gi-Oh! by a wide margin. The Infernoble Knight cards offer a ton of consistency while being able to set up negates to interrupt the opponent on their turn.
They can continuously recycle themselves, and thanks to powerful generic support cards like Isolde, Two Tales Of The Noble Knights, Infernoble Knights can go into any kind of Monster they need at any given time. Infernoble Knights can OTK and control the board state, making them one of the best decks in the modern Yu-Gi-Oh! metagame.
