Yu-Gi-Oh: Best The Weather Cards
A Fairy monsters archetype introduced in Spirit Warriors, "The Weather" is quite a unique Deck. Here are the 10 strongest "The Weather" cards.
The Weather are a collection of cards that were introduced to Yu-Gi-Oh in 2017. One of the archetypes introduced in one of the “Deck Build” packs, they are made up of two different types of cards: The Weather Painters, which are the monsters for the deck, and The Weather Canvas, which are the spell and trap cards for the deck.
Yu-Gi-Oh: The 10 Best Rokket Cards
The Painters allow careful placement of the Canvas cards from the deck, graveyard, or the hand to the field. Meanwhile, "The Weather" spell and trap cards can grant the monsters additional effects they can activate by banishing themselves. Since these are quick effects, players are capable of playing around their opponent’s monsters and effects, making for a unique stratagem for high-level Yu-Gi-Oh players.
Let's check a look at these top Weather cards!
10. THE WEATHER AURORAL CANVAS
This card activates when exactly a single card is added from the deck to the hand on either side of the field. Auroral Canvas can banish a "The Weather" Effect Monster, then banish the added card, and the player who lost that card gets to draw a card.
This card is pretty solid, but it’s also an example of balancing a card for no reason: It should be that the player can banish a card added to the opponent’s hand, then draw a card themselves.
9. THE WEATHER PAINTER THUNDER
Thunder can send a face-up continuous spell or trap card to the graveyard to take one of "The Weather" spell or trap cards and place it face up from the deck. It can also special summon itself back from the banish zone if it was banished for one of "The Weather" spell or trap cards.
8. THE WEATHER PAINTER SNOW
Upon being normal summoned, Snow can place one "The Weather" spell or trap card face-up on the field from the deck. Then, like most of the cards in the deck, if it was banished to activate a The Weather Canvas effect, it can bring itself back from the banish zone during the Standby Phase.
With no ATK, this is going to leave the field quickly to activate an effect to avoid taking damage.
7. THE WEATHER PAINTER AURORA
One of the bigger cards of the deck, Aurora is a level six that can grab a "The Weather" spell or trap from anywhere — hand, graveyard, or deck, and place it face up in the Spell & Trap Card Zone.

She can also stop "The Weather" spells and traps from being targeted with effects or destroyed by battle. This means all The Weather Canvas cards are now safe from being destroyed or bounced, and Aurora can Special Summon itself back to the field like the other ones in the deck.
6. THE WEATHER PAINTER CLOUD
Cloud is the deck’s way of reusing "The Weather" spells and traps once they’ve already been used. If a face-up The Weather card is sent to the graveyard, this can target up to two "The Weather" spells and traps in the grave, and place them face-up on the field.
It can also Special Summon itself back from being banished, creating a small blocker as well.
5. THE WEATHER PAINTER RAIN
Probably one of the weaker ones in the deck, Rain’s ability activates when Special Summoned — it can take a "The Weather" spell or trap from the hand and place it face up in the Spell & Trap Card Zone.
But this actually means the player could theoretically trigger Rain’s ability during the opponent’s turn, as Rain could be Special Summoned by another effect to throw the opponent off.
4. THE WEATHER PAINTER SUN
While this card is in the graveyard, players can send a face-up continuous spell or trap to the graveyard to special summon it out of the graveyard. By doing this, the player can also take a "The Weather" spell or trap from their hand and place it face-up in the Spell & Trap Card Zone.
That’s a fairly useful ability, as it can get back a destroyed Weather Painter Sun on the player’s turn, allowing them to make more moves.
3. THE WEATHER SNOWY CANVAS
Snowy Canvas grants a special ability to any "The Weather" monsters in its column and the columns adjacent to it.

Basically, monsters can banish themselves to search out other "The Weather" monsters and add them to the hand. This restricts the player from adding cards to their hands for the remainder of the turn other than by drawing them, but a single search should be enough to get everything rolling.
2. THE WEATHER THUNDERY CANVAS
Thundery Canvas allows Weather monsters in the same column and adjacent ones to gain a new effect. By attacking an opponent’s monster, they can banish themselves to automatically force an opponent’s monster back into their hand.
The incredible part about this is it isn’t a form of removal the opponent can stop, and even better, the monster the player banishes will simply come back during the opponent’s turn. That means they successfully bounced an opponent’s monster back to hand while maintaining all their resources.
1. THE WEATHER RAINY CANVAS
Rainy Canvas allows the player to banish Weather monsters to target spells and traps the opponent controls and return them to the hand. That’s a bit of a steep price to pay, but what is noteworthy is that The Weather Rainy Canvas is a quick effect.
Since this card can be activated at any time, it can easily bounce any needlessly restrictive spells or traps the opponent might have to stop the player from getting their plays out.
