Cyber Dragons are one of the earliest Archetypes released in Yu-Gi-Oh! Used by Zane in the GX anime, Cyber Dragons have been a fan favorite since their introduction, being both iconic in the anime and the TCG itself. Cyber Dragon is known as the card that killed Goat Format, and forever changed Yu-Gi-Oh! and started the transition into the modern game.
The 10 Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards With The Most Gorgeous Art
Over the years, Cyber Dragons have received a plethora of support cards, becoming one of the most consistent Rouge strategies out there. The Archetype comes with a lot of playstyles, as well as some of the best cards in the history of the game.
10 Cyber Revsystem
Cyber Revsystem is one of the best Graveyard revival cards in the game. It only works for Cyber Dragon, which almost every Cyber Dragon Monster is treated as. Monster Reborn is Limited for a reason, and Cyber Revsystem is in many cases a better version for it.
Cyber Revsystem does not target, meaning your opponent can not prevent you from targeting the card you want. In addition to that, it can summon from the hand as well. Cyber Revsystem also prevents it from being destroyed from card effects, giving it an extra layer of protection.
9 Cyber Dragon
Like many Archetypes, Cyber Dragons are built around using their titular card. Cyber Dragon is a simple Level Five Monster that can be Special Summoned if the opponent controls a Monster while you do not. Most Cyber Dragon support cards are built around using Cyber Dragon, making it one of the most useful Monsters in the deck.
Yu-Gi-Oh: 10 Surprisingly Cheap Cards That Will Improve Your Deck
Cyber Dragon is even good on its own. When going second, it is a free body on the field, and 2100 Attack is a decent statline to attack over your opponent's Monsters. Level Five is a great Level as well, allowing for solid Synchro and Xyz plays.
8 Cyber Dragon Sieger
Cyber Dragon Sieger is the Archetypal Link Monster for Cyber Dragons, and one of the modern ways Cyber Dragon decks can OTK. It has easy materials to meet, only needing a Cyber Dragon and another Machine Monster. Afterward, Cyber Dragon Sieger can boost both itself or another Monster with 2100 Attack by another 2100 Attack.
There's a stipulation that it can't do damage the turn it activates that effect. However, if it boosts another Monster the damage will go through. This means that when paired with a card that can attack multiple times per turn, it's an almost guaranteed OTK.
7 Chimeratech Rampage Dragon
The main target of Cyber Dragon Sieger, Chimeratech Rampage Dragon is the main way modern Cyber Dragon decks go for the OTK. By sending two cards to the Graveyard, it gets two extra attacks. At 2100 Attack, it can almost OTK on its own, and when paired with almost any other Cyber Dragon Monster, it will be able to OTK twice over.
Chimeratech Rampage Dragon can even act as a Foolish Burial for any Light Machine Monsters, allowing you for free Graveyard setup while getting extra attacks out of it.
6 Cyber Dragon Herz
Cyber Dragon Herz is the primary discard fodder for Cyber Dragon. It's often time with "honorary Cyber Dragon" Galaxy Soldier, with the combo allowing you to get two Level Five Light Machine Monsters on the field to go into the Cyber Dragon Xyz Monsters.
Yu-Gi-Oh: 10 Best Decks For Veterans (Who Keep Losing)
Cyber Dragon Herz can fetch out Cyber Dragon from the Deck or Graveyard, and since all Cyber Dragon Monsters are considered as such in the Graveyard, can recycle almost any Monster. If it's Special Summoned, you can make it Level Five as well, letting you go into Xyz with it as well.
5 Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon
Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon was the main reason Cyber Dragons were a fantastic Rouge deck during Master Rule Four. Even now, it is still a fantastic card that can take care of any problem Monster in the Extra Monster Zone.
So long as you have any Cyber Dragon Monster on the field, you can Contact Fuse with the Monster in the Extra Monster Zone to get rid of any protection it may have. Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon can be used for Link material, or kept around for a solid 2400 Attack Monster, and allows for a push in the board state in your favor.
4 Cyber Emergency
Cyber Emergency is the main searcher for Cyber Dragon decks. Cyber Emergency searches out any Cyber Dragon Monster, as well as any Light Machine Monster that can't be Normal Summoned. Due to the mechanics of Yu-Gi-Oh!, searchers are the best cards in the game, especially one that can get any Monster in an Archetype.
Cyber Emergency has an effect that other searchers dream of, and that's the ability to get it back into your hand if the activation is negated. This allows you to try and search again right away, making an opponent's negate essentially worthless.
3 Cyber Dragon Core
Cyber Dragon Core is the main Normal Summon for Cyber Dragons, and one of the best Archetypal Normal Summons in the game. When Summoned, Cyber Dragon Core searches out any Cyber Spell or Trap Card from your deck. Since Cyber Dragons rely on these cards so much for their strategy to work, Cyber Dragon Core is incredibly powerful.
When in the Graveyard, you can Banish it to Special Summon any Cyber Dragon in the deck as well. Since it has less than 500 Attack as well, Cyber Dragon Core is the main target for Machine Duplication to get Cyber Dragons out on the field to start your combos.
2 Cybernetic Overflow
For quite some time, Cyber Dragons were an exclusive going second deck. With the release of Cybernetic Overflow, Cyber Dragons got the ability to be a strong going first deck as well. Cybernetic Overflow is one of the best Trap cards ever printed, allowing you to replace it should it ever get destroyed.
Cybernetic Overflow doesn't target or Banish for cost, meaning the opponent has to proactively respond to it or risk losing their most important cards. Cybernetic Overflow has the potential to destroy more than four cards on the field, which is often enough to end the game with one activation.
1 Cyber Dragon Infinity
Cyber Dragon Infinity is the main Boss Monster of Cyber Dragons, and one of the greatest Xyz Monsters ever printed. Cyber Dragon decks have no problem going into Cyber Dragon Infinity and gives them access to an omni-negate that isn't a hard once per turn, meaning multiple copies on the field can use its effect.
Cyber Dragon Infinity can absorb Monsters on your opponent's field, allowing it to get rid of potential problem Monsters. This allows it to refresh its Xyz Materials so it can continuously use its effect to negate anything.
